Despite being just north of the 45th parallel (geomagnetic latitude 54.4°), Eustis' dark skies mean that it is not uncommon to see some sort of auroral glow on the northern horizon. This image was taken from Eustis Ridge at 2:40 a.m. EST on February 15th, 2023. It is a 15 second exposure with a Canon 60Da DSLR at ISO 3200 through a 15-mm lens at f/3.5.
